Global battery energy storage system installed capacity will exceed 14 Gigawatts by 2020, says GlobalData
Global battery energy storage system (BESS) installed capacity is set to grow from 1.5 GW in 2015 to over 14 GW by 2020, as large numbers of projects are planned to be commissioned over the forecast period due to increasing renewable installations and focus on grid stability, according to research and consulting firm GlobalData.
